The Kentucky Department for Libraries and Archives (KDLA), the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority (KHEAA), and KY Saves 529 have launched the “Color Our World / Colorea nuestra mundo” College Savings Summer Reading Contest as part of the 2025 summer reading/learning program at participating public libraries across the Commonwealth.

 

The Contest, which began June 1, 2025, and will run through July 31, 2025, will award five $529 college savings accounts to Kentucky children and young adults 18 years old or younger. In addition, each winning child’s public library will receive $500 to use in future reading programs at the public library.
