CCPL PUBLIC HEARING

In accordance with the provisions of HB44 enacted by the 1979 Kentucky General Assembly and KRS 132.023, a public hearing has been set by the Calloway County Library Board of trustees for September 29, 2020, at 10:00 – 11:00 am in the Calloway County Public Library meeting room at 710 Main Street. The purpose of the hearing is to hear public comment upon the proposed tax rate of 5.8 with an anticipated revenue of 1,248,289. The tax rate for 2019 was 5.8 with revenue of 1,247,027.

The compensating rate for 2020 is 5.7, with anticipated revenue of $ 1,226,767. The expected revenue from Personal Property is 142,125 and the anticipated revenue for New Property is $13,745. This tax rate reflects an increase in anticipated revenue which is needed for the purchase of materials and programming.

The Kentucky General Assembly has required the publication of the information contained herein.
